Our 2011 season features a concert every Thursday night from June 2 through August 4 in Memorial Park, just north of downtown Wheaton. The season concludes with a special Saturday night indoor concert on August 6 at Edman Chapel.

A special concert with a special start time! Music will begin at 7:30 tonight, but instrument petting zoos, and activity for the kids begins even earlier. Don’t be late! Listen as the WMB musically explores different modes of transportation, whether it be horse and buggy, broomstick, superhero-cape, or spaceship!

The Wheaton Municipal Band honors legendary conductor Dr. Harry Begian in a reunion program that will feature former students, both instrumental performers and conductors. The concert will be a lineup of Begian’s favorite works for band – works that he enjoyed over his celebrated career that included positions at Detroit’s Cass Technical High School, Wayne State University, Michigan State University, University of Illinois, and Purdue University.

The great grandson of music icon John Philip Sousa shares in the making of this special program centered around the March King. Joining John Philip Sousa, IV will be a special guest from the United States Marine Band, Peter Wilson, performing violin favorites.
